Come back to me

I've long awaited this day, the day that I never thought would come. Here I sit in an echoing room, with my back against the cold wall and I remember when I felt like my world was crumbling underneath me. When I bent backwards to be someone I wasn't. Regret is useless; I know I was blessed through it all.  He shattered my heart like a pane of glass to rebuild it into a mosaic of colors.  Light shining through in brightly colored patterns, I see that love was not lost, but gained.  It was a step along the way, one of many and I look up the steep path before me with excitement. You have gotten me through times that I never thought I'd survive and I know with You I can soar.
